³Ô¹ÏÍø passes accreditation review with flying colors

³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Fifth-Year Interim Report to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) has been accepted with “no additional report required.”

“Full accreditation by SACSCOC is re-affirmed every 10 years, with an interim review at the five-year mark. William ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s fifth-year report was accepted without any request for clarification or additional information. That’s a significant marker of ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s commitment to academic, operational, and fiscal excellence,” said ³Ô¹ÏÍø Provost Noal Cochran.

The good news came during SACSCOC’s annual meeting, held Dec. 6-9 at Music City Center in Nashville.

³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Office of Academic Affairs led the task of preparing and submitting the Fifth-Year Interim Report – but Cochran said it was a collaboration among every academic and operational unit on campus.

“This positive outcome reflects countless hours of hard work by faculty and staff members from all over ³Ô¹ÏÍø. It should be seen as an affirmation of our commitment to academic excellence, collaboration, and institutional effectiveness,” Cochran said.

SACSCOC’s Fifth-Year Interim Report reviews accreditation standards related to administration and organization, faculty credentials, student achievement, educational programs and policies, student support, financial and physical resources, transparency, and institutional representation.
